NEEDED SELF-EMPLOYED SWIMMING TEACHERS -
Turnford Swimming Pool SATURDAY 12.30-2pm and SUNDAY 12.30-1.30pm, to start 24th/25th April 2010 (subject to a satisfactory CRB)

To become a swimming instructor you need either:

1. ASA LEVEL 1 (costs £350) or STA ASSISTANT TEACHERS qualification

then

2. ASA LEVEL 2 or STA TEACHERS QUALIFICATION

At totalfitnfun.com we will accept teachers who have their level 1 qualification onto out 'in-house' training programme. This programme takes between 6 and 24 weeks to complete.

Our in-house programme will mean shadowing a senior swimming instructor and staggered introduction to running your own classes.

We are very strict about those who enter our training programme and our criteria is as below:

1. YOU MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED CRB UNDERTAKEN BY US! before any contact with children this must be received and be satisfactory. We will pay for this.

2. You must agree to shadow the instructors for between 12 and 48 hours (depending on your level of progression)UNPAID and then undertake work for totalfitnfun for a minimum of 20 hours (paid at a rate of £10 per hour) after this pay rises to £15 per hour

3. You must enjoy working with children! or babies..... or both! and have experience with children. (either personal or work) - being a little bit crazy also helps :)

4. You ABSOLUTELY MUST be able to swim

JOHN WARNER SPORTS CENTRE are running a level 1 course in February beginning on Sunday 28th and running for 5 Sundays between 9.00 and 17.30.

Another intensive course begins in July and starts on Sunday 25th and runs every day that week finishing on Friday 30th July most days run from 9.00 to 18.00.

The cost is £350.00 this includes all ASA fees. If you wish to book on to one of the above you can do so by ringing John Warner reception on 01992 445375.
