What is Flip n Fun?

Flip n Fun is a fun and exciting course that gives children the opportunity to experience the "FUNdamentals" of Diving. Designed by the Amateur Swimming Association

What is the Aim?

Flip n Fun provides a positive start to children's Diving development through a structured activity programme, familiarising children with basic movement skills. We work towards the ASA flip n fun awards for dryland and poolside activities.

Why Flip n Fun?

Diving offers a touch of variety to the usual sports taught in schools and can improve discipline, encourage confidence and aid co-ordination and agility. Diving covers the ABC's of Agility, Balance and Co-ordination and the ASA Kellogg's Flip n Fun Awards will offer motivation and reward to those children that complete the course successfully.

What are the benefits of Flip n Fun?

Diving is a disciplined sport but more importantly, in order to be successful it is essential that children

listen to the teacher and are aware of others around them. Children can also develop their social skills

by learning to respect rules and operate within controlled group environments! Learning new skills with friends' means there is always something to share and talk about. Taking responsibility for their actions and learning to do things on their own also engenders independence in children and encourages them to be focused on specific but achievable goals! Just as a new adventure can be fun, trying something brave and different can intensify a child's feelings of enjoyment, excitement and overall sense of personal achievement.
